How Geo‑3DBJ works

In each layer, a thin bed of mineral powder is spread across the build plane. An alkaline activator is then selectively jetted to bind the powder in the desired cross‑section.

This sequence repeats layer by layer until the near‑net‑shape part is complete. After curing, the part is extracted while the unbound powder is recovered and recycled for subsequent builds.

When required by exposure or performance, surfaces can be sealed or lightly infiltrated to enhance durability and reduce porosity.

The process runs at ambient temperature, enabling low‑energy, dimensionally stable parts without kiln firing.

Materials and sustainability

Geopolymers avoid Portland clinker and can incorporate industrial by‑products, enabling lower embodied carbon while maintaining excellent mechanical and thermal performance.

Energy demand is low because parts are consolidated without sintering and typically require only minimal post‑processing.

Unbound powder remains in the build and is reclaimed after depowdering, reducing waste and material cost.

At end of life, components can be crushed and reused as aggregate or feedstock, closing the material loop.
